Shiho was already starting to get used to splitting her time between her time as the psychometer of her team, responsible for espionage and her budding relationship with Tetsuo. Most days were spent jetting from one country to another, often literally as Kaoru used psychokinesis to transport them from location to location. Days off and nights off though she spent with him as much as possible, watching movies, adding to his movie collection with her favourite murder mysteries, cooking, and more often than not ending the night tangled up in his sheets, waking up in the morning snuggled up against him. She was clingy when she was asleep, after all.

So it's a problem when the mission she's assigned to ends up dragging on for one day. Then another until she's gone for nearly two weeks. Calling him is a substitute to seeing him. As is taking risque pictures in order to tease him. But by the end of it with her fair share of bruises and a scrape on her arm, she's shyly standing at his front door, tugging the sleeve of her dress to better cover the bandage and knocking.

She shouldn't be so unsure about it, it's not like she hasn't talked to him nearly every day but it's been so long. Too long.

So the moment he opens the door he's definitely getting an armful of Shiho as she hugs him tightly, burying her face against his neck.
