Tetsuo's pretty sure deliberate flattery and truth aren't at all incompatible, and that Shiho knows that perfectly well--after all, she's gotten flustered plenty of times over entirely factual things he's said and thought. He doesn't really get the chance to comment on it or think up a good example to make a point before she starts describing a getaway together, and he's very throughly distracted by that even before the kiss that makes the promise of a reward sound even more suggestive.

"A-aheheh, I uh... I mean... just havin' you holdin' on t'me sounds like a real good reward already... that mean I get somethin' even better?"

The way she so obviously enjoys spoiling him, he has a strong suspicion that the "reward" would involve every dizzyingly wonderful and heartwarming thing either of them could think of that might be too distracting to do until they were safe and clear.
